Just thought we'd let you know about a fresh new Midlands band called the Dastards. More info on their site at Dastards.com

Will be playing live at the Garage on Jan 5th, Adam & Eve, Birmingham on Feb 22nd and Area 51, Swindon on March 2nd. Hope to see you there.

You can listen by clicking on Dastards.com/mp3_down.html or MySpace.com/theDastards

Forthcoming single is called 'Shami Chakrabarti' and is a tribute to the leader of Liberty who is single-handedly taking on the British Government to protect our rights.

Cheers,

Stretch

Hi John & Co
I had the pleasure of first meeting you at a "cherryburst" gig at the Canny Brook back in 1995 I think?
Just stumbled across the site by accident and thought I'd drop you a line.
I don't think I ever thanked you properly for taking time out to record one of my songs. I outlined how I thought "Want to be with you" should sound and you just picked up your guitar and played my song as if it was a popular standard.
Many thanks and best of luck for the future.

P.S. If you should see Bo tell him I have a digital copy of his version of "Hey Helen" if he should wish to hear it again.

Yours Truly
Grant Jones

John Barrow has a book you may want to read. As I already said a couple of posts back, this is not a board for advertising (that's not the spirit of guestbook posting) but as the item is music related, and his post was not anonymous, JP has kindly posted details on our news page for you to read. - Webmaster
News - http://www.whiteeaglerecords.com/news.html

POPKOMM - Berlin 09-29-04 through10-01-04

It has come to our notice through various email contacts that someone is disseminating false info about White Eagle Records, regarding attendance at the above music conference.

First of all there is no-one in this organisation called Maureen (on either side of the Atlantic, nor in any of the sister labels in this group), and secondly NO-ONE FROM THIS ORGANISATION IS ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE!

Having written to the conference organisers about this misrepresntation of our label and received no reply, we can only assume that they are guilty of the misrepresentation themselves and this makes it unlikely we would ever attend such a conference, certainly not without an apology.

We would urge you to be on your guard about attending this conference, and if you do, be aware that anyone claiming to represent us is an imposter and we take no responsibility for the consequences of any dealings you may have with them.

Just to finally re-iterate - We are not attending the above conference and now are we intending to be represented by ANYONE.

Thank you.

Wow, I wondered why it was so long since we had a newsletter:-) Well, the site looks pretty and Soundlick pages look much smarter than Ampcast, but I wish they had stations to share. Like the live version of 'Happily Ever After.' Em

Hi JP! I absolutly love your website, the site was recommended by a friend and she was right...IT'S AMAZING! I think you should be given much more airtime on local AND national radio! I would love to meet barbara. WB. JO:.)

Emma H - Tuesday, August 26th, 2003 9:10 PM EDT
Woahh. What have I been missing? :-) Who the hell would want to attack you guys? Must be a nutter. Anyways, I just popped in to say I listened to the new music and added to my Ampcast playlist. Loved especially the new artist Holly Warnes. Great voice!
Em

John Perkins - Monday, August 25th, 2003 9:40 PM EDT
Thank you Michelle. That post you referred to was indeed removed as will be all personal attacks on artists from this label, or indeed on others who post genuine comments on this page. I don't even know a Theresa Green, but I do know a James with that surname:-)
John Perkins

Michelle - Monday, August 25th, 2003 9:13 PM EDT
I'm glad to see that the totally unwarranted personal attack on JP I saw ealier has been removed. She (or was it really a he?) clearly does not know JP, as he is the exact opposite of the way this evil writer portrayed him. I rather think anyone attacking JP, who gives so much of his time to producing the artists on this site instead of promoting his solo material, is the loser. If she or he is reading this - get a life!
Michelle

Emma - Friday, June 20th, 2003 10:10 AM EDT
Every time I go away I return to find I missed some great new music. Catching up with it now though. Love 'Wings' - Barb & JP just keep turning them out:-)
Definitely wanna hear more of Steve Herbert? Great voice. Colette is writing wicked songs too. If you're reading this and haven't checked out the music coming from this label, YOU SHOULD! cos it's wicked! Keep the new music coming on...
Em

Emma - Wednesday, April 30th, 2003 2:17 PM EDT
PS When are your artists gonna start appearing in London?

Emma - Wednesday, April 30th, 2003 2:15 PM EDT
Great new music and glad to hear you guys speaking up about the war mongers on both sides of the Atlantic :-)

Keep up the good work. Em

Emma - Sunday, January 12th, 2003 10:54 AM EST
