McDonald-Perkins Band

Barb & JP plus a willing group of helpers really are colouring outside the lines with this album, so it is fitting that maybe 64 Crayons mmay become the title track of this collection of tracks that don't fit in the single genre of singer/songwriter material you will find on Chasing The Sunset. This album also is ready for editing and mixing and may be released at same time as Chasing The Sunset in some sort of double album special offer ..... wait and see and watch this space.

Barbara McDonald and John Perkins return to the news forefront with the release of a new track recorded for the soundtrack of a movie called 'Portraits Of Sari' which stars Ryan Windish and Kristen Hermes and was directed by talented young director Dan Magro.

The song '64 Crayons' runs over the end titles so we hope people will be leaving the screenings with this very hooky song locked in their brains.

There are many links on this site to play the song and it can also be found at along with a trailer for the movie.

It can also be purchased as a dowload single, along with many of our other tracks at our soundclick store.

We hope you enjoy it....

NEW! We agree with that instead of bringing legal proceedings against potential customers, a course the RIAA and BPI are currently pursuing, it is better to reward those who honor artists rights by making building in a reward for their buying music before sharing with friends.

Here's a basic view of how it works:

You download a track which is encoded. You can play this track 3 times before you are prompted to buy it. If you like and buy a track, you can then pass it to your friends or even upload to one of the many peer to peer sites, and if they buy it you get paid as well as the artist. Cool huh? We thought you'd agree. These tracks will play in most players but you will need to download a small program from for purchasing tracks and obtaining payments for tracks sold on from your promotion. You can also get more info from their FAQ page.

We are adding weedfiles to this site at present. Available so far are tracks by Barbara McDonald, indi Hawkes and Colette Nicholls. Go check them out, buy them and sell them on. Start making money for yourselves and us. Have fun :-)

Highest position held at present by Barbara McDonald with JP on AAA chart at #4 with 'Wings.'
On the same chart and only a few places below are Vickiy Murray Jones, Colette Nicholls and Marcus Bekker.

On 'Classic Rock' it's Ron Walton and Indi Hawkes who head up the White Eagle artists, while on the acoustic charts Barb & JP are joined by Holly Warnes, Colette again, and Michelle Gerrard.

We seem to have spent most of this week making hurried changes to our website, forced on us, we're sorry to say, by the actions of others.

MP3.COM finally departed this planet when sold to a new owner (CNET), and they in true asset stripping form decided to trash the site and all that huge archive of wonderful music that built up over years. if something is worth buying, it's worth treating with more respect we think!

Bottom line - we had to remove all links to that site and there were many links from here.

Due to differences in the way their business is conducted, we have withdrawn all InterMet Music from So if you do find any links left after the recent updates they won't work. We are endeavouring to keep disruption to a minimum, however we would ask you to bear with us as we have had to move artists and files to a new mp3 site (to us that is).

Soundclick have been in operation almost as long as White Eagle Records have had an internet presence, and like, you will find major artists on their site too, Sarah McLachlan, Linda Ronstadt and Phil Collins beinbg among those to name but a few. We hope you will enjoy the benefits of our artists having individual pages at While most files will be listen only, you will find from time to time that we will offer free downloads, so check back often.

Seems like not much changed since 1969. Good reason to re-record a song written in the winter of 69/70 against the Vietnam war. DOGS OF WAR has been recorded by an assembly of many artists and now released on the internet and on CD.

We want to be able to help the humanitarian efforts in Iraq from the proceeds from this CD which also has ten more tracks by various artists. Specifically it is the children (innocent victims of a war being perpetrated for fictional reasons that have nothing to do with liberty, freedom or democracy) whom we want to help.

More info on Dogs Of War by Artists Against War, including the lyrics, can be found at

PHILADELPHIA, LONDON & HEREFORD - 17th APRIL 2002 - Music by Philadelphia based singer/songwriter Barbara McDonald and her Briitish co-writer/producer John Perkins is currently featured on the Windows Media Browser, in the company of Sheryl Crow, Mary Black, Ryan Adams and Iggy Pop, among others.

The result of this exposure in the browser, which is on virtually every PC on the planet, is that they have topped the UKSounds Top Ten again today with a track inspired by, and dedicated to, the victims of 9.11, and their families.

The track, called 'Little Piece Of Heaven,' was recorded in Philadelphia in February and mixed in the UK at IMMG's studio in Hereford, and this preview version had already hit the #1 spot on the same chart a month ago.

This follows their previous successes in that chart with 'Feel You,' which also topped the chart twice, 'Marie Elena' and '(He'll Never Be A) One Woman Man.'

The track can be purchased online at

The chart URL is:

UK fans may be having the opportunity to see them performing live during the Jubilee & Music Live celebrations in early June. Dates and venues to be announced soon.

Meanwhile the duo continue to work on their new album 'Chasing The Sunset' which they hope to complete later in the year.
