SHARI WILSON-COLE
Canadian singer/songwriter now dividing her time between UK and Israel.
Shari Wilson Cole recorded 'Dancing On The Water In Tel Aviv' originally
in 1992 and it was rescued from cassette and edited and re-arranged by
John Perkins at InterMet Music just recently.
The resurrection of that dance track written 17 years ago has awakened a
talent that has been laid down over the years while raising her family.
Now she has travelled to England to work on an album of new songs,
co-written with producer John Perkins, and also with Roger Toye..
Shari Wilson Cole was born in the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, though never lived there. She attended elementary school in eastern Canada, grade seven to senior in the United States, graduating from Jay High School. Shari was referred to as Sherry, as she had not yet travelled to Israel, where she discovered the Hebrew spelling for her name.
Shari returned to Canada where she eventually married. She has three children, two older and one younger with whom she enjoys a special relationship. 'Indigo Blue' was written with her youngest in mind; 'Warrior Princess', with her two older children in mind. You can hear tracks from the album in the player below, and also see video of her featuring a unique blend of two versions of Guiding Light which was written by John Perkins and beautifully covered by Shari on her album.
